The services described here can be easily carried out as "pieces" of
work on a stand-alone basis. Since there is no real requirement for
this work to be carried out on-site, there are fixed prices available
for some services, while fixed prices can also be negotiated for all
others described on this page, provided scopes and deliverables are
mutually agreed.
Operational Evaluation
When you need to know what's been drilled urgently, WellEval.com is
your best choice. If you provide advance notice of your requirements,
you can have high quality interpreted results on your computer within 1
to 3 hours of sending it to us. If we already know evaluation
parameters for your area, the turn around time will be closer to the 1
to 2 hours, otherwise it will be closer to 3 hours. In this time frame,
you will receive a summary table with average reservoir properties over
zones of interest, together with PDF files containing plots of the log
interpretation over the zones of interest. Full documentation typically
follows within 24 to 72 hours.
This "product" comes at a fixed price of US$5000 per well. Payment must
be pre-arranged for this service - note that this does NOT necessarily
mean pre-paid.
This histogram shows the distribution of
turnaround times acheived for "urgent" work to date. The distribution
is bi-modal: those wells were formation properties are known in advance
or regional data is available can be carried out faster than those
wells where no prior information is provided. Note that the mean of all
wells to date is 2 hours between data receipt and completion of
interpreted data dispatch.
Second Opinion
About to commit to a decision? Not sure if it's the right one? Time for
a Second Opinion! Data emailed to us can be Petrophysically evaluated
and our standard documentation created in an agreed timeframe and at an
agreed price - normally US$ 5000 per well, although the per well costs
reduces significantly with increasing numbers of wells. In any case,
the price will be low enough to run on all your wells as a check that
you've got things right!. If you need to know answers in hours, rather
than days, use the slightly more expensive Operational Evaluation
Package above.
Deliverables include full documentation (in Adobe Acrobat PDF format)
supporting the petrophysical evaluation,a summary table with average
reservoir properties over zones of interest, together with PDF files
containing plots of the log interpretation over the zones of interest.
The quality of both the evaluation and documentation is high, allowing
someone skilled in Petrophysics to reproduce the results. Consistent
treatments are provided for all wells, allowing direct comparisons
between well evaluations.
Single Well Evaluation
Just want to get consistent well evaluations and auditable
documentation? Data emailed to us can be Petrophysically evaluated and
our standard documentation created in an agreed (non-urgent) timeframe
and at an agreed price - normally around US$ 5000 per well. The quality
of both the evaluation and documentation is high, allowing someone
skilled in Petrophysics to reproduce these results.
Field Studies
For Field Studies, it is vital to have all the core analyses upfront
allowing evaluation parameters to be determined. All wells can then be
consistently evaluated to the same high standard. WellEval.com is
experienced in Field Studies and the outputs required for static and
dynamic modelling using either deterministic or probablistic models.
In our experience, most Field Study work can be done off-site, with
frequent use of email and telephone for communication. Visits on-site
are required at project start, to collect data and define scope and
deliverables, and at project completion to ensure deliverables meet the
needs of users.
WellEval.com is willing to undertake Field Study work at fixed prices,
provided scope and deliverables are mutually agreed in advance. Changes
to scope will result in price changes which may be negotiated at the
time of the change being requested. With Fixed Prices, we carry the
risk of project over-run, not you! There is also an incentive for us to
get the work completed as quickly as possible in order to increase our
profitability.
Residual Hydrocarbon Studies
A WellEval.com speciality. Our work in this area leads the industry. No
other consulting company can nail down residual hydrocarbon saturations
to the same degree of certainty. We will use all the available data
from both core analyses and in-situ logging to provide P50, P90 and P10
relationships for residual hydrocarbons.
As with most of our work, WellEval.com is willing to undertake Residual
Hydrocarbon Studies at fixed prices, provided the scope and
deliverables are mutually agreed in advance.
Saturation-Height Studies
Another WellEval.com speciality. Our work in this area leads the
industry too, particularly in the areas of imbibition modelling. No
other consulting company can create saturation-height functions that
match log-derived hydrocarbon saturations to the same degree of
certainty - without scaling either dataset. We will use all the
available core capillary pressure data to provide P50, P90 and P10
relationships for saturation-height relationships. Our relationships
can be easily implemented in static and dynamic models in addition to
Petrophysical Analysis software.
